
The steaming crater, shield your eyes from the fuming sulfur! Apparently a guy fell into this crater last year, and all they found was his skeleton because the water is so full of sulfuric acid that it ate away all of his skin and organs!

Along the "true summit" ridge. Not many people bother going to the real summit because it is so far from the action of the crater, but we could not be deterred by the extra few miles of hiking.

Returning to the bottom we encountered lots of coatis, they were almost totally tame, and let me walk right through their pack taking all the pictures I wanted. They would not stand still though, so most of my pictures were blurry...
