DJ cutting some jatropha to plant the cuttings to create a living fence around the goat pen, and so that there are more jatropha plants! Jatropha nuts can be harvested and the oil used to make a bio fuel. None of their jatropha is ready to harvest yet, but William hopes to run their vehicles on only the fuel from these trees!

Feeding time for the dogs! William had gotten some extra ribs from the local butcher, and asked Anthony (another volunteer) to cut it up -- machete style!

DJ with a bucket of horse shit. Seriously, one day one of our jobs was to walk around and collect Lula's droppings to use for fertilizer and/or in the cob mixture we would be making to start building a cob chicken coop!
The boys (DJ and Anthony) doing the scary job of knocking down wasp nets while the girls (Kathy and Jen) hide up in the loft. It's best to knock them down at night, when the wasps are inactive and hopefully won't sting you! We needed these wasp nests down b/c they are right in the area where the cob chicken coop would be built.
