Coffee beans, they grow everywhere on the Poste Rojo land!
This is a pod from a Cacao tree!! Yes, that's right a CHOCOLATE BEAN!! Poste Rojo has 2 cacao trees on their land, the beans are ready to eat (or dry to make chocolate) when they start to turn yellow like this one.
That is so totally cool! Wouldn't it be fun to make chocolate from scratch?
ReplyDeleteAnd on coffee plants- I never would have guessed the leaves looked like that. I was expecting something more viney! They're really beautiful! I'd love to roast both (cacao and coffee) and see what happens! I wonder if that could be done in your clay oven?!!!
